System Restore on Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP

 :)What will happen if your computer suddenly crashes, causing you lose everything on your computer? Thanks to Windows to give us a smart but powerful program System Restore to keep your computer safe and health. People take System Restore as one of the most important programs which can save you from the unlucky recipient of unstable software, a badly timed power outage, or other damaging thunderstorms. Because System Restore is mainly used to keep and save all important documents, PC settings and preferences on your computer. 

Using System Restore, you can make restore points daily or at any time when you install applications such as device drivers, automatic updates or other applications on your computer. To create restore point by System Restore is a good habit to keep your computer safe. If the unthinkable happens and the computer files are damaged or unavailable, System Restore gives you a very easy to recover your system or computer back to the restore point which is also called checkpoint. 

How to create restore points in Windows 7 

1. Open Control Panel, and click System. 

2. Click System protection in the left pane. 

3. Click the System Protection tab, and then select Create. 

4. In the popped-up System Protection option, enter your description on the restore point, and then click Create to make your restore point. 

How to create restore point in Windows Vista 

1. Click Start button to choose to open Control Panel, select System and Maintenance, and finally choose System. 

2. In the left pane, select System Protection. Sometimes you may be asked to key in administrator password or confirmation, please just enter your correct password or provide valid confirmation. 

3. Select System Protection item, and press Create. Then type your restore point description to click Create and finish the restore point creation. 

How to create restore point in Windows XP 

1. Press Start button to choose Programs. 

2. Drag your mouse to Accessories, then System Tools, and then select System Restore. 

3. Select Create a restore point in the popped-up dialog box, and then click Next to go further. 

4. Type your description onto the restore point and click Create to finish. Few seconds later, you can be noted the detailed information on the restore point including the date, time and description you keyed in. 

5. Now you get your restore point. Just click Close to go back.
